How does the quality of Canadian medications compare to that of American medications?
The Canadian government has very strict requirements for the manufacturing of medications. These requirements are similar to the requirements in the U.S.. Some drugs sold in Canada are manufactured in the U.S. and repackaged for sale in Canada.
Although the drugs you receive from Total Care Pharmacy may look slightly different or come in a container that is different from the one you are used to, for all intents and purposes they are identical.
For example, some medications may be in a tablet form in the U.S., but are a capsule in Canada and vice versa.
Due to differences in drug patent laws in Canada we can, in many cases, provide a low cost generic alternative to brand name drugs. Our generic medications are manufactured in Canada under Health Canada's stringent regulations and have the same active ingredients and strength of their brand name counterparts.
Important Note: Canada has one of the highest world standards for manufacturing, and testing generic medications!
