Our Roots
Total Care Pharmacy was created by pharmacists David Robertson, Brent Grantham, Daren Jorgenson, and Vice President of Sales & Marketing Lewis Jorgenson. It began as a part-time experiment in providing accessible medication to Americans. In the five short years since its inception, Total Care Pharmacy has grown to become one of the largest mail order pharmacies in Canada. 'I would probably do without it or take half of it, I know some people who do that.'"

A heated debate.
Large U.S. pharmaceutical firms, threatened by the popularity of the Canadian prescription option, attempt to restrict drug supplies to Canada. GlaxoSmithKline, a major U.S. drug company, takes the extreme step of stopping all prescription drug supplies to Canadian online pharmacies. Total Care Pharmacy unites with American seniors groups to protest this unnecessary ban, which attempts to deny Americans the right to seek alternative sources for affordable medicine.
 The Philadelphia Inquirer and the New York Times: Our collective places a full-page ad denouncing the ban and encouraging concerned citizens to take positive action to reverse Glaxo's decision, and a protest takes place outside GlaxoSmithKline's Philadelphia headquarters.
